Clinical Services

The Institute’s commitment to providing quality mental health care extends to those in the tri-state area. At our award-winning low-cost treatment center, founded in 1948, highly skilled clinicians provide affordable psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to those who might otherwise find the cost of care prohibitive. We treat patients of all ages—adults, adolescents, children, and families.

Adult Treatment Services

Individual Psychotherapy

Individuals may enroll in a course of low-cost psychotherapy, meeting one to two times a week for up to 40 weeks.

Psychoanalysis

Low cost treatment is also available to people who would like to work more intensively by undergoing psychoanalysis. Individuals meet with a psychoanalyst for three times a week for at least two years.

Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions

Clinicians with specialized training provide care for those struggling with eating disorders, compulsions and addictions.

Performing and creative artists may benefit from a range of services that facilitate creativity and help with difficulties that interfere with their lives and work.

Child and Family Center

Clinicians at the Child & Family Center approach their work with children, adolescents, and families with an understanding that all human experience is fundamentally interpersonal. Exploring the young person’s relationship to family, school, and socio-cultural environment is therefore an important facet of treatment.
