The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Study Group includes psychoanalysts, candidates, and invited members who meet monthly to discuss clinical material, social issues and other topics that are relevant to LGBT people. While the primary focus of the group is clinical, we aim for breadth of topics considered. We present our own clinical work and writing, in addition to hosting speakers who are generally leading clinicians with a particular LGBT expertise. Our mission is to promote knowledge, sensitivity and awareness for clinicians who work with LGBT individuals. While many of our meetings are open to the mental health community, some are restricted to Study Group members. For additional information about the LGBT Study Group please contact Dr. Frank Marrocco at fmarrocco@nyc.rr.com.
