Whose Account Matters? The Challenge of First Person Narratives

Gail Hornstein, Ph.D. is Professor of Psychology at Mount Holyoke College. She is author of the highly esteemed biography of Frieda Fromm-Reichmann: To Redeem One Person is to Redeem the World. She has compiled a Bibliography of First-Person Narratives of Madness (with over 700 titles, available free to all), and her new book is Agnes’s Jacket: A Psychologist’s Search for the Meanings of Madness.
