Presenter Bio:

Michael Combs is a fourth-year candidate at the William Alanson White Institute. He has been a psychiatrist for fourteen years and has a private practice in Brooklyn, where he lives with his husband and his dog, Zoe.

Supervisor:

Mark J. Blechner, PhD. is a psychologist and psychoanalyst in New York City. At the William Alanson White Institute, he is a training and supervising psychoanalyst. As the founder and director of the White Institute’s HIV Clinical Service (1991-2001), Dr. Blechner led the first psychoanalytic clinic devoted to working with people with AIDS, their relatives, and caregivers. Along with fifty articles and book chapters, Dr. Blechner has published four books: Hope and Mortality (1997), The Dream Frontier (2001), Sex Changes: Transformations in Society and Psychoanalysis (2009) and The Mindbrain and Dreams: An Exploration of Dreaming, Thinking, and Artistic Creation (2018).

 

Dues:

$95 for year-long attendance

$15 for one-time attendance
