DIR/Floortime and Relational Child Psychotherapy
A dialogue between Drs. Serena Wieder and Ron Balamuth
This colloquium will provide us an opportunity to share the unique aspects of the DIR/Floortime method and explore how they can be integrated with interpersonal/relational approaches to child psychotherapy.
- Dr. Wieder will discuss developmental capacities and how individual differences contribute to the pathway to emotional challenges.
- Dr. Balamuth will explore the various ways that Floortime-informed treatment can
expand our understanding of children who experience trauma, and attachment disorders.
We are looking forward to a lively discussion with the audience about how to apply DIR principles to their practice with children who show a wide range of developmental and emotional challenges.
