Christopher Bonovitz, PsyD, is Faculty, Supervising & Training Analyst, William Alanson White Institute; Clinical Associate Professor of Psychology & Clinical Consultant, New York University (NYU) Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis; Faculty & Supervisor, the Mitchell Center for Relational Studies, & the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis; and Associate Editor, Psychoanalytic Dialogues & the Journal of Contemporary Psychoanalysis.


Sandra Buechler, Ph.D., is Training and Supervising analyst and graduate, William Alanson White Institute. Her books include Clinical Values: Emotions that Guide Psychoanalytic Treatment (2004), which examines hope, courage, and other values; Making a Difference in Patients’ Lives: Emotional Experience in the Therapeutic Setting (2008) which discusses therapeutic process; Still Practicing: The Heartaches and Joys of a Clinical Career (2012) which examines clinicians’ shame, sorrow, and resilience; and Understanding and Treating Patients in Clinical Psychoanalysis: Lessons from Literature (2015) which uses short stories to illuminate coping styles.
